Application for prior admission (DAP)
Candidates holding a diploma issued by a state outside the European Union applying for registration to study architecture in France must apply for prior admission before December 15th, 2021.
First year admissions
► Foreign candidates residing outside of France ( Yellow DAP form ):
In around thirty countries (listed below*) Centres for Studies in France (CEF) have been set up to facilitate the application process. Applicants from these countries must log on to the CEF site in their country and follow the instructions.

In countries where there are no Centres for Studies in France (CEF), the application for admission is made through the Cultural Service of the French Embassy in the candidate’s country of residence.

Admissions in Year 2, 3 (licence), or 4 (master)
The procedure is the same as for a first year application. In addition, the candidate must provide a portfolio of work at the time of pre-registration.
from October 1 to December 15, 2021: withdrawal of applications and applications;
December 15, 2021: deadline for submitting applications by candidates;
February 1, 2022: end of interviews in the SCACs and indication of the SCAC notices;
April 15, 2022: deadline for pedagogical committees - Decisions of the establishments;
May 15, 2022: deadline for student decisions
French test sessions as part of the DAP between January 6 and 12, 2022 (dates specified later).
However, candidates have the possibility to take, now and throughout the year, a TCF for all ages as part of the DAP (MCQ tests + compulsory written expression tests) in one of their approved examination centers. The price is not regulated by the ministerial decree, will be increased but this will allow them to organize themselves according to their possibilities and especially to have the opportunity to take the exam several times before the deadline for the start of the exams. inscriptions.
French Knowledge Test (TCF)
As part of the application for prior admission, a test of knowledge of French (TCF/DAP) is required. This test is subject to a fee (68 €). It is organised either at ENSAS (for candidates residing in France) or at the French Embassy in the country of residence (for candidates residing abroad).
Exemption from the language test if:
- you are a national of a state where French is the official language or of a state in which most of the tests for secondary school graduation diplomas are taken in French;
- you are a foreign student from one of the French bilingual sections on a list established jointly by the Ministries of National Education and Foreign Affairs;
- you hold the Advanced Diploma in French Language (DALF C1 and C2), the Diploma in French Language Studies (DELF B2) or another recognised language test of equivalent level. Nevertheless, the TCF DAP test takes precedence over the other certifications.
